For the past 15 years I have been a counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice accompanying and supporting clients on their unique journey of growth, change and achieving personal goals. My work is based on holistic and integrative principles that acknowledge the individual needs and strengths of clients. Increasingly I look to strengths-based approaches, along with mindfulness practices, to help clients develop newer, happier and more fulfilled ways of living.
Due to my close association with Ian Gawler and the Gawler Foundation I have been working with people with cancer and their support people for some years now, helping them negotiate the challenges of this serious health crisis in individual and group meetings.
I work as a lecturer and supervisor at the Australian College of Applied Psychology and am an assessor with Montere eCollege in the Diploma of Counselling Supervision. I also offers regular 8 week Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Programs and teach meditation for health and wellbeing.
I have a Masters Degree in Counselling and am a Clinical Member of the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of New South Wales, PACFA, ATMS and AABCAP. I have been practicing holistic healthcare since 1991 with a Diploma in Homoeopathy, a Certificate in Nutrition and training in various kinds of bodywork. I have many years of experience as a lecturer, teacher and trainer in the fields of counselling, communication and leadership and conduct clinical supervision with therapists and student counsellors.
I am available for consultations at Crows Nest in Sydney. Please feel free to contact me on 0419 980 923 to discuss your needs.
